Welcome to mountain biking in Gästrikland. Here, destinations, accommodation, history and mountain bike arenas are connected by signposted trails, gravel roads and local routes.
From project to living cycling destination.
Biking Gästrikland began as a project funded by Leader Gästrikebygden. It was run by Ockelbo Municipality together with the visitor industry and the municipalities of Gävle, Sandviken and Hofors.
The initiative came from Gästrikland's visitor industry, with the aim of strengthening the province as a destination for mountain bikers. Since 2024, the association Naturkraft Gästrikland has handled operation and management of the trails.
